Enlace is seeking a Communications Intern to assist with all aspects of the organization’s communications.
The Communications Intern will assist with projects related to the Freedom Cities movement, the Prison Divestment Campaign, the Enlace Institute, and the New York Worker Center Federation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to help create successful social justice movement communication. Tasks will include print and web content development, designing and editing for print and web, strategic communication, and other projects as assigned.
Be dedicated to economic and racial justice and have enthusiasm for Enlace’s mission
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with the team and community contacts
Demonstrate graphic design abilities using Adobe programs or tools like Canva
Familiarity with professional uses of social media
Experience or interest in photography and/or videography is a plus
Spanish proficiency is a plus
This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit can be arranged. Minimum 10 hours a week. May be based out of NYC or Portland Enlace office.
