‘Towards Unionizing Freedom & Mapping the Process of Production
New ways to organize against restrictive contracts & pseudo-unions in the maquila, or How we create wealth, how the boss robs us & how we can organize

The Information Center for Working Women and Men (CITTAC), the Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras (CJM), the Binational Feminist Collective, the Transnational Information Exchange (TIE), and other Mexican labor organizers invite US workers and activists who are struggling to build organization, to present/share their experiences during a forum in Tijuana Baja California México October 3, 4 & 5, 2008. Participants must be fluent in Spanish. If interested, please contact CITTAC.

Participants include: Amelia Simpson CJM President, women/men maquila workers, Mauricio Minolfi TIE Brasil, Martha Ojeda, ex-maquila worker & now Executive Director of CJM, SINTIM from La Paz BC Sur, members of the National Assocition of Democratic Lawyers (ANAD) from Mexico City DF, as well as members of CITTAC & CBF.
